KATA is an award-winning homegrown restaurant that brings contemporary Japanese cuisine to Dubai. Located right at the Waterfront Promenade in Dubai Mall, KATA’s day-to-night concept delivers a world-class dining experience. The bar is complemented by dark flooring and illuminated curved, red Perspex wall arches, but the real star of the show for is the incredible curved parabolic main door with its twisted Perspex feature. The piece was formed on-site, and the twisted nature of the arch made it extremely intricate.

Kata Restaurant features a blend of modern and Japanese-inspired furniture. Sleek chairs with clean lines and dark wood finishes paired with comfortable yet stylish seating options. Pops of colour or traditional Japanese design elements are incorporated subtly throughout the space to create a unique and modern ambiance.‍ The eye-catching interior has a bespoke mural created by a renowned graffiti artist “TF”. While outside on the vast terrace, guest are treated to views of the iconic Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain.
